The Road to Pasta Perfection! 🛣️🍝

“What’s the secret behind this sensational pasta dish?” You might wonder. The secret lies in the careful balance of simple flavors and the right technique. “Oh, and did we mention love?” ❤️

When cooking the spaghetti, aim for al dente. This means the pasta should still have a bit of a bite to it – not too soft, not too hard, just right! This texture is the ideal match for our garlic and olive oil sauce. 🎯

As for the garlic, we’ll gently fry it in olive oil just until it’s golden and aromatic – any longer and it could become bitter. Timing is everything! ⏱️

“Be bold, be brave, and dive fork-first into the world of Italian cooking!”

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti

  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant.
  • Drain the pasta, reserving some pasta water. Add the spaghetti to the pan with garlic and oil. If needed, add some pasta water. Toss until the spaghetti is well coated.
  • Season with salt, toss again and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an added touch of luxury, sprinkle some freshly grated Parmesan over the top just before serving.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic and red pepper flakes to your liking.
  • Pasta water helps to create a light sauce that coats the spaghetti evenly.
